Do˝ana is a natural reserve located in Andalusia. It is located Southwest of the Iberian Peninsula, mostly in the province of Huelva and a minor part in Seville and Cadiz. Due to its privileged location between two continents and its proximity to the meeting place of the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, Do˝ana counts with a rich flora and fauna. With various scientific institutions that ensure proper development of the bordering towns and the conservation of very delicate species that inhabit it, is considered the largest natural reserve in Europe. Its name comes from Dona Ana de Silva y Mendoza, wife of the seventh Duke of Medina Sidonia. UNESCO declared it World Heritage Site in 1994.
THE BEST CLIMATE
Rociana del Condado climatically falls into the ocean Mediterranean variant, really benign conditions conducive to the development of wildlife and crops. The average annual temperature is 18 ║ C, reaching a minimum in the middle in January with 10.7 ║ C and the maximum in July with 25 ║ C. Proximity to the sea conditions that in this area does not cause frost virtually any time of year, characterizing the climate of mild winters and warm summers.
Rociana del Condado climate is characterized as mild, given the proximity to the sea and low altitude (98 m), although these conditions will gradually even tougher as we move away from the coast. Given the geographic coordinates of latitude and longitude, Rociana enjoys more hours of light across the European continent.
Rainfall is distributed in a very regular time between fall and spring. This climate provides favourable conditions to the quality of agricultural products that reach international markets.
